You constantly hear that carbs are bad for you. More specifically, you hear that bread is bad for you. You’ll never hear that bananas are bad for you despite the banana having more than twice the carbs and 7 times the sugar of the bread.

Foods develop negative reputations mostly due to the media. If you’re serious about losing weight or even gaining weight, being aware of your macronutrient intake is crucial. I am not telling you bananas are bad. I’m not telling you that bread is better than bananas.

I’m just saying that bananas aren’t inherently worse for you than a slice of bread and when you look at the macros of both, it seems a little weird that bread is looked at so poorly but you’ll never hear anything negative about fruit, despite the high caloric content of some fruits and the very low-calorie bread that are available.
